"There are a thousand ways to kneel and kiss the ground; there are a thousand ways to go home again." -Rumi
I love creating cards that might only work for a few specific situations. If I feel like there is a quote that just needs to exist on a card, I respond to that call. This was one of those quotes.
Grace has sent this quote to me, hand lettered in an envelope at one time, and it's resided with me ever since. Figuring out your place in the world, especially in your 20s, can be particularly challenging. You are trying to establish an identity and life outside of your childhood home, and that can mean confusing times for those who have come from a strong background.
This quote gives permission to kneel and kiss the ground in a way that makes sense to YOU, and to be able to find home again, even when that way might not look like the ways of your parents or caretakers.
I'm hoping this card, along with your loving words inside, can bring some balm to a worried heart.
