"The more grateful I am the more beauty I see." -Mary Davis
This was one of the first "official" illustrations that Leah/Tiny painted during rehab. She had been asked by the Craig Hospital Foundation whether she could create something for a Thanksgiving thank you card for the foundation's donors - every year, a different patient is invited to create the artwork for the card & word had spread that Leah was the right woman for the job.
We searched high and low for the right quote - our mom stumbled upon this one and it perfectly encapsulated how we were all feeling during that season.
This card was the result. It's a time capsule of sorts, illustrated by Leah's weakened and tired hands during a time of intense work and rehabilitation.
We don't get to control what happens to us or those we love. We do get to control our gratitude. Beauty is everywhere if we choose to look for it.

I really love this one. It’s got beautiful, peaceful colors and it’s one of my favorites to send as a thank you note.
