October 23, 2025--What do I need less of?

clutter.

digital clutter,

physical clutter.

Kid’s toys. Paper ephemera.

Things that I bought online that didn’t work for me.

Medical supplies.

Drink powders that I grew tired of.

Books.

Time online.

Screen Time.

Sugar.

Indoor time.

Internal resistance to sharing my work.

What would I like more of?

Open surfaces on desks and tables.

Less physical clutter.

More working out.

More dancing.

More letter writing.

More tea times.

More Focus.

More presence with my family.

More art time.

More connection with the community of Besties.

Less advertising, more just sharing stuff we make.

Grace shared this article with me today, and I'm reading some great books inn the same vein right now too.

I've been thinking about when I give something to Ellie, what I'm actually taking away from her--like giving her my phone to watch videos, I'm actually taking away creative time. 😣

Habits are hard to change. You just need to get good at riding the bicycle -- the start is always wobbly. But eventually stick to it and hard things become habits. Then years later, you suddenly realize you've changed in marvelous ways you didn't know you had in you.
