Angels Watch Over You — Pet Sympathy Card

I've lost some wonderful pets. It's always heartbreaking. Pets become one of the family. Their loving presence fills the home.

When they are no longer here, it can be a rough transition. 

Whenever I’ve lost a pet, it has been the biggest balm when people have acknowledged the loss through a heartfelt card. (And honestly, the pain intensified when the loss wasn’t acknowledged. I’ve felt both sides of this and it has helped me realize just how meaningful this kind of card can be.)

We have another pet sympathy card that we released several years ago: an empty collar with the words "so very sorry for your loss." 

But Grace/Snail said she'd like a less sad card. One that honors the goodness of the animal.

She mentioned this one morning, and I was also thinking about the phrase "Angels watch over you." The two combined in my brain and this card was born. 

I hope it brings a smile to people who have lost a pet that has crossed "over the rainbow bridge." I think it's comforting to think of past good boys and girls looking out for us. And it's definitely a comfort when someone acknowledges the loss.
