I Love You a Whole Axolotl — Love Card

My daughter Ellie loves this audio story of a girl in Xochimilco, Mexico. Learning about Xochimilco, I came across the fact that this is where axolotls are from.

If you’re not familiar with them, axolotls are interesting amphibians who never exit the juvenile stage and can regenerate limbs (spinal cord and amputee researchers are studying these creatures!).

Axolotls are having a moment. I don’t normally jump on trends, but this little guy was just so cute.

I hope it’s fun to send! (Grace wrote in this one for her 3 year-old’s birthday, and he loved it. 🥳)

Unfortunately, their natural habitat, the floating gardens of Xochimilco, is at risk.
Fortunately, axolotls can breed well in captivity.
