Tiger Tales — Girl and Tiger Reading in Jungle— Everyday Card

That feeling of being captivated by a good book – that’s what I wanted to illustrate with this card of a tiger and girl reading.

Reading makes me feel like I have a friend and guide with me.

I want to pass that love on to my kids, and inspire others to read more too! I think this is so important, especially in this era of instant answers and endless scrolling.

(Ellie is currently obsessed with books, and I can see her imagination growing right alongside them.)

Books slow us down, make us focus, make us think, and are the cumulation of thousands of hours of experience and struggle for the writer and/or illustrator.
